Nature & Objects
My work explores the connections we make between the natural world and objects that connect with the spiritual world, in its different forms, practices and cultures.
What is wabi sabi
This work is inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi. Characteristics include asymmetry, simplicity, intimacy, appreciation of the process and understated elegance.
My artwork explores the dichotomy of controlling and releasing, the need for perfection and embracing authenticity and change, and how we practice spirituality as part of a personal practice and public display of who we are.
